Some months back, I went Gildas on GMail’s contacts ‘functionality.’ It’s only fair that I acknowledge that they are working on not only the format but also the interface.
I finally managed to upload a clean set of contacts a few months back (about 550), and I’m not inclined to poke the bear, but it’s good to see effort in this area.
As always, do not take this as a criticism of the most excellent G1. In all other respects it is an outstanding smartphone.
