Being a FriendFeed user for almost two years, I feel like I was present at conception (not as the father – more like the guy down the hall hearing the sounds of . . . well, I think we can stop there). I watched as they rolled out a real-time sidebar, then made the entire experience real-time. We watched the innovative and brave students in Iran use the real-time web to protest a stolen election – a protest that continues, and that will inevitably succeed. #
The point of this post is simple: to point out that the massive changes about to happen to your Internet experience originated in the minds of a few very bright people, as demonstrated in an amazing platform. They haven’t sought the limelight like other Silicon Valley CEOs, but their impact will be felt for years to come. #
